10th Birthday Present - making a young boy very happy!

10 year old James Dakin thought he was just going out for a burger with his dad and his uncle for his birthday - little did he know he was actually being brought to the The Oxford Gun Company, where he was presented with his first gun by Doug Florent, followed by his first shooting lesson with David Florent.

Schools Challenge Young Shots Game Day 17th/18th Dec 2007

Schools Challenge Young Shots Game Day 17th/18th Dec 2007

We have lots of youngsters that have been shooting at our grounds for the past few years. Recently they have expressed an interest in game shooting so we have decided to team up with the new sporting agency, Woodward Bailey in Cirencester. This will be a 2 day package. The first day will be at our shooting grounds with our professional shooting instructors, they will teach you the etiquette of game shooting and how to shoot game with the correct shooting style as well as how a day’s game shooting works. This day will start at 9:30 and finish at approximately 4:30 with a talk from the game keeper and shoot proprietor Hugh Foresyth.

The Second day will be at Tubbs End shoot in Warwickshire. This is a charming shoot set in the undulating countryside with beautiful scenery and woodland which, we feel is a good example of a professionally run game shoot. You will have the opportunity to shoot 2 drives, beat 2 drives and pick up 2 drives giving you the chance to see exactly how a shoot works. We will have 3 drives then a break for sausages and soup followed by 3 more drives. The shoot lunch will be at the end of the day in the lodge with the opportunity to talk to Hugh and ask any questions about the day.

This package is a special price of £199 all inclusive this is open to boys and girls aged between 13 and 21 but places are limited to book your place ring David on 01844 238 308 or to see more young shots info visit the web new site www.theschoolschallenge.co.uk
